Andrew has 25 years of capital markets experience spanning several industry sectors with specialisms in Consumer Goods and Real Estate. He read Mathematics at Manchester University.
Simon joined the City in 1993 and has worked at leading firms including Hoare Govett, Charterhouse, HSBC, Numis, Panmure Gordon and Cenkos. During his time at Numis, he was No. 1 ranked in Extel Survey in the UK Mid & Small Cap: Consumer Goods sector. He was also ranked No. 1 in the Extel Survey in 2008 whilst working at Panmure Gordon.
Simon has also worked as the finance director of the European Public Real Estate Association for two years. He has worked in London, Liverpool and Brussels farmacie-romania.com.

Guy Briselden

Guy has over 24 years’ experience in the City. He graduated from Durham University and served in the British Army for seven years.
Guy has worked for firms including BZW, CSFB, Dresdner Kleinwort and Cenkos. He worked as an equity salesman and corporate broker and has a broad range of sector knowledge including oil and gas, mining, logistics, fintech and digital sectors.
Guy was one of three founding partners that established Bixteth Partners in 2018.
Guy joined as a consultant to Hiddensee Research in 2019 to assist with sales.

James Ridgewell

James holds a BA Hons. (1st Class) in Economics from the University of Stirling and a MSc in Finance & Investment from the University of York. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate. James is a member of The Society of Professional Economists and The Royal Economic Society.
James started his career in the City at Abbey Life Assurance Company as a trainee fund manager, Japanese equities, in 1997. After two years James moved to WorldInvest Investment Management, where he worked as the Japanese equities fund manager.
James joined New Star Asset Management at launch in 2001 as a UK equities fund manager, where he managed both retail and institutional portfolios. He was regularly awarded a Citywire AAA rating, and was nominated and highly commended for the Best UK Equity Fund (UK Growth Sector) at the Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards 2006.
Since 2009, James has managed his personal portfolio of listed and non-listed investments, using a Business Perspective investment philosophy.
James co-founded Hiddensee Research in 2017; he is also the Finance Director and Head of Research.

Jim Collins

Jim Collins’ experience in finance spans 25 years. He is a graduate of Duke University.
Jim spent 11 years writing equity research for several major investment banks, including Lehman Brothers, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) and UBS, where he focused on the automotive sector. Jim has visited factories, met with managements and test-driven cars (mostly safely) on all six inhabited continents.

John Carrick Smith

John holds a B.Sc. Hons in Geology from London University and worked as a professional geologist in Australia for four years after graduation.
On returning to the UK he spent 18 years in the City as an institutional analyst and stockbroker with Cazenove & Co, HSBC James Capel and ANZ Securities. John specialised in the Natural Resources and Emerging Markets sectors, broking to both institutional investors and PCIMs.
John founded Burvale Consultants Limited in 2001 and has specialised in marketing companies to the PCIMs and smaller institutions. Burvale’s clients are spread across the FTSE 100, FTSE 250, and internationally.
John co-founded Hiddensee Research in 2017 and is Chairman of the company.

Paul Lee

Paul started his career in financial journalism with Euromoney and Economist publications.
In 2000 Paul joined BT Pensions’ Hermes investment management Unit, where he was involved in a series of roles for Hermes Equity Ownership Services in corporate stewardship policy and engagement.
After leaving Hermes in 2014 he worked for the National Association of Pension Funds as Head of Investment Affairs, before joining Aberdeen Asset Management (AAM) as Head of Corporate Governance – Stewardship. At AAM Paul was responsible for stewardship activities – engagement and dialogue with board members – across all the companies in which AAM invested client assets. He had particular responsibility to maintain relationships with companies held only in passive portfolios as well as building close relations with active managers, and guiding and assisting their stewardship efforts. He led AAM to being assessed as Tier 1 in the Financial Reporting Council stewardship code assessment, and undertook extensive media work and public profile building.
Paul has also served for 7 years as a member of the Audit and Assurance Council at the Financial Reporting Council. He has also served as a Non-exec Director of the Quoted Companies Alliance and served on the board of an Australian Shareholder engagement organisation. He has also served as a public member of Network Rail.

Sam Hart

Sam Hart has 20 years of experience as a buy-side equity analyst covering a wide range of UK equities. Sam has a degree in Economic History from the London School of Economics and has been a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation since 2005.
Sam was a senior equity analyst at Charles Stanley between 2006 and 2018, primarily focusing on the Retail, Leisure, Media and Beverage sectors. He previously spent five years at Brewin Dolphin as a generalist Equity Analyst. Sam began his career as an equity analyst at Williams de Broe in 1999.

Simon has been an equity research analyst for 13 years specialising in the Leisure & Gaming sector.
Simon has worked at firms including Numis, UBS, Panmure Gordon and latterly Cenkos, where he established and was head of the group’s Liverpool office.
Simon is regarded as one of the most experienced analysts covering the sector and in the 2011 Extel Survey was ranked as the No. 1 research analyst in the Leisure & Gaming sector, whilst working at Panmure Gordon.
Simon is a regular contributor to industry publications as well as speaking at a number of industry events. Prior to joining the City, Simon worked in industry for Whitbread for five years francepharmacie.fr.

Stephen Mitchell

Stephen is a global equity specialist with over 30 years investment experience in managing global equity portfolios and stock selection. His experience also includes Japan/Asia-Pacific equities.
Stephen worked at Flemings/JPMorgan Asset Management and Private Bank for over 20 years. He then moved to Caledonia Investments plc. and Jupiter Asset Management. For the last decade, Stephen has covered investment strategy and multi-asset allocation; he has visited companies across the globe to meet management and assess corporate governance.
During his career Stephen has worked with clients across the spectrum from ultra-high net worth individuals to retail clients, institutional funds, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.
In 2019 Stephen was appointed by the National Trust for Scotland as a member of their investment committee más información.
